A Discussion on the History of Yoga- Moving Beyond Colonialist Perspectives in Yoga and Embodying the 8 Limbs:
This workshop is open to all students and teachers. Participants will explore the history of yoga, and how colonialism has impacted yoga practices in North America. Together, we will engage in group based discussion and activities to explore our current practices of yoga, think critically about our practices, and examine how we can honor the roots of yoga. We will explore how we can move beyond Asana to embody the 8 limbs of yoga in our everyday living.
