Beer in the Woods

A beer and nature extravaganza!

Please join the Friends community for the 2nd Annual Beer in the Woods, a fundraiser for Friends of the Forest Preserves featuring craft beer and cider at LaBagh Woods on the Northwest side of Chicago. LaBagh Woods is a haven for nature enthusiasts and birders - right in the city! Come revel in its natural beauty, drink beer with friends, and support programs that help safeguard and improve the forest preserves in Cook County.

Beer in the Woods features tastings from 30 breweries and cideries (see list below); live animal displays from Big Run Wolf Ranch, FrogLady Presentations, and Northern Illinois Raptor Rehab and Education; music by DJ CatieO; an "Ultimate Camp Site" display; bird walks by volunteer guru Jeff Skrentny; home brewing demonstrations from The Pursuit Supply Company; local food trucks La Cocinita and Cupcakes for Courage.

There's plenty for beer and nature enthusiasts alike!

All drinkers receive an engraved double-walled stainless steel mug. VIP ticket holders enjoy one hour early admission (at 1 p.m.) and a swag bag filled with goodies and snacks. All attendees have access to all of the entertainment.

Beer in the Woods is organized by Friends of the Forest Preserves and all proceeds will be used to make the forest preserves healthier and more welcoming for you and for generations to come!
