She is the author of six books, including Street Food around the World: An Encyclopedia of Food and Culture; A Guide to Indian Restaurant Menus;  and Turmeric: The Wonder Spice. Her articles have appeared in Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun times, Travel and Leisure, Food Arts and other publications.
