Community Open House - Lincoln Square Brown Line Area Streetscape + Plaza Imporvements

You are invited to an in-person Community Open House for the Lincoln Square Brown Line Area Streetscape and Plaza Improvements project, hosted by Alderman Martin and the Department of Transportation (CDOT).

Thursday, January 18th @ 6pm

Old Town School of Folk Music

Szold Hall (2nd Floor of the East Building, 4545 N. Lincoln)

CDOT is conducting a streetscape and plaza improvement project for the areas near the Western Brown Line CTA Station, including:

  • the transit plaza adjacent to the station,
  • the Farmers Market Parking Lot, the area under the ‘L’ tracks,
  • Leland Ave (between Lincoln Ave and Western Ave), and
  • Western Ave (between Montrose Ave and Leland Ave).

Building upon the 2019 Lincoln Square Master Plan and the Leland Neighborhood Greenway bike connection, the project will foster community and economic growth, support opportunities for community gatherings and events, and provide protected bike facilities within the project area. Open House attendees will view and provide input on the proposed project designs.

Information about this project can be found on the project website.

This meeting will be accessible for individuals with disabilities. Individuals in need of assistance should contact (312) 744-5900.
