Elder Abuse, it's not always what you think...

It’s a topic that’s hard to talk about. However, having open and honest conversations about elder abuse is the crucial first step in helping protect at-risk older adults. Join us for an important discussion that will shine a light on this frequently ignored issue and provide practical advice to help stop elder abuse.

During our presentation on elder abuse, we’ll cover:

• The types of abuse that are prevalent
• How Adult Protective Services and other agencies can and cannot help
• Capacity and individual rights
• How we determine who has legal authority to step in.

We will also look at case studies that will spark debate about what we should and should not do to help in different situations.
