Chakras are wheels of energy located in seven areas of the body from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Each chakra has its own qualities, colors, and associations, and when incorporated into asana (poses) or meditation it can offer the practitioner deeper insights into their present moment experience. Historically, the chakras provide subtle energy to the body to allow for expanded consciousness. Each of the seven chakras corresponds with specific somatic and energetic functions. In this workshop, participants will learn about each of the chakras’ meaning, location, and link to well- being. Participants will also be guided in meditation, breathwork, and movement to explore their own unique expression of the chakras.
