Independent Book Store Day!

While every day should be Independent Book Store Day - The Book Cellar will be celebrating the event this Saturday, April 29th.

Festivities at The Book Cellar will include:

• Exclusive books and merchandise available day only!

• Surprise discounts on every book purchase!

• Specialty literary cocktails and Garret’s Popcorn!

• Raffle for book-lover prizes!

• Photo-op with literary legends, Austen and Poe!

• At 1PM, special guest, Eli’s Cheesecake author, Maureen Schulman, with tips and tastes to share!

We are also participating in the  #MyChicagoBookstore Challenge, which encourages book lovers to indulge in bookstore tourism by visiting 10 or more stores on that one day.

To begin your trip, you can pick up a #MyChicagoBookstore carabiner and a first "luggage tag" from the store of your choice with an initial purchase of $25 or more.

Additional bookstore visits throughout the day (no purchase required) enable you to collect an additional tag at each subsequent bookstore. The payoff comes for visits at the following levels:
