Lawrence Hall invites you to understand the foster care system first hand.  Enjoy light refreshments as you go through Lawrence Hall's interactive journey along a foster child's path to a stable, long-term placement.

There are nearly 18,000 you in the foster care system in Illinois, and Lawrence Hall serves hundreds of these young people every day. They come from a wide range of circumstances, backgrounds, and with their own unique challenges.

During this experiential event, you’ll be guided by those with direct experience as you explore the journeys of our youth in care, caseworkers, parents, and respite providers. You will navigate the emotional and unpredictable stages of a child’s successful transition to permanency, whether it is with their birth family, guardianship, or an adoptive family.
