Mulch Madness Community Celebration

Got leaves? Help feed Ravenswood gardens!

Between October 25 through November 15, bring your bagged leaves to our drop zone at Ravenswood & Sunnyside (west side of Metra tracks), then join us on November 8th from 3pm-5pm for our Mulch Madness Community Celebration featuring a pop-up concert from Rachel Kazez & Friends, free beer provided by Begyle Brewing, educational information about composting, and a demo of leaf shredding from Teegen Compost Services. 

Donated leaves will be shredded and turned into leaf mulch for our native gardens. Residents who drop off bagged leaves in the fall will be able to pick up free leaf mulch in the spring. Stay tuned for details!

Over 850 donated bags of leaves have been turned into leaf mulch since the inaugural Mulch Madness event in 2022.
