Join us for the start of Ravenswood Community Orchestra’s 15th anniversary year with an all-German program, featuring Mozart's Zauberflöte, Schubert's Rosamunde and Beethoven’s iconic Symphony No. 5. The RCO was founded with a small group of musicians in 2000 by the then-music director at St. Benedict's Church. In 2004, the group adopted the name Ravenswood Community Orchestra to reflect its community affiliation. Now in its 15th anniversary year, the RCO currently has around 70 members and plays 3-5 classical concerts each year in Chicago. Ravenswood Community Orchestra has been fortunate to have some excellent music directors, and has grown in quality as well as size. The group greatly appreciates the ongoing support of the community.
