Summer Art Workshop: Natural Dyes From Coffee to Marigold

Come see why Mother Nature is the boss lady when it comes to color. Midsummer is the perfect time for this natural dye workshop, when all around us, there are flowers, tree barks and fruit that can become gorgeous dyes. Grab a friend and join us as we turn silk and cotton into your own, uniquely beautiful fabrics.

In this fun, colorful class, textiles artist Akemi Cohn will dive into the basics of the natural dyeing process - creating color doesn’t fade away. Mordant process, Shibori and over dyeing technique will be demonstrated. Silk and cotton will be provided.
