Dumpling Prep Assistant

Union Dumpling House is hiring a Dumpling Prep Assistant to join our kitchen production team.

This position supports our dumpling chefs with the daily preparation and production of our handcrafted dumplings. No professional dumpling-making experience is required — we are willing to train someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and enjoys hands-on food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with making and assembling handcrafted dumplings
• Portion fillings and prepare dumpling wrappers and ingredients
• Fold and shape dumplings according to restaurant standards
• Arrange, tray, package, label, and store finished products properly
• Assist with preparing dumpling fillings and other ingredients as needed
• Maintain consistent portion size, appearance, and product quality
• Keep prep tables, tools, equipment, and production areas clean and organized
• Restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift
• Follow food safety, sanitation, labeling, and storage procedures
• Assist dumpling chefs and kitchen leads with other production tasks as needed

• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable performing repetitive hands-on food preparation
• Able to follow instructions and established recipes
• Good hand coordination and willingness to learn dumpling-making techniques
• Able to work efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
• Team-oriented and willing to help where needed
• Previous kitchen or food-prep experience is preferred, but not required
• Weekend availability is preferred
