LINCOLN SQUARE — The elevator at the Western Brown Line station is set to reopen in April, but work on the adjacent bus turnaround will keep detours in place until at least June, officials said.
The Loop-bound elevator in the Western station could open next week, Ryan McCray, Ald. Matt Martin’s (47th) director of infrastructure and policy, told Block Club in an email. Chicago Transit Authority spokesperson Maddie Kilgannon confirmed the inbound elevator will reopen in early to mid-April and said the outbound elevator will close for repairs once the inbound one opens.
