LINCOLN SQUARE — Christmas just came early for rom-com-loving Chicagoans.
A few years ago, writer/director Mark Nathan created “Christmas in Chicago,” a Hallmark-esque holiday romance with a major twist. In the vast majority of these rom-com Christmas movies, the big-city heroine somehow escapes to/gets stuck in a small town and finds a spark with a small-town charmer, possibly an ex-beau and/or the proprietor of a Christmas tree farm.
